Mindful Kids Melbourne Takes a Mindful Pause, But We'll Be Back!

Life has a funny way of throwing curveballs, and it seems that Mindful Kids Melbourne's journey has been thrown an unexpected one. During 2023, due to a mixture of personal and professional challenges, I find myself at a crossroads, reluctantly announcing a temporary pause for Mindful Kids Melbourne.

Many may be aware of the announcement of the closure of my beautiful little school St Joseph’s Primary, Black Rock, which will take place at the end of the 2023 school year. With this in mind I had to take on some of my own advice to pause and reflect on what would be my next steps in my career. I have decided to take a new full-time position from this upcoming term. Part time positions are often a luxury in teaching, so it is with great sadness that I am forced to pause Mindful Kids programs temporarily until I determine how to manage my new full time role and my beloved little business.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your kindness, love and support throughout the past three years of Mindful Kids Melbourne's journey. I’m sorry that I haven’t been able to run holiday workshops or continue programs in Term 4 at this time. I know that many were looking forward to the next Mighty Minds and Super 7s program coming up. Hopefully I will be able to get things back up and running shortly. I hope that everyone can appreciate that I need to take time to just be present in these changes and when the time is right MKM will be back.

I have loved the opportunity to work with countless young people supporting families and their wellbeing, so fingers crossed this pause isn’t for very long and I will be back running workshops again soon. Until then make sure you have subscribed to be in the loop for when programs will return.

Thank you for being a part of the Mindful Kids Melbourne community and remember, during this pause, don’t forget to breathe.
